Welcome to the Fresh Thoughts family!
By deciding to localise this booklet, your club is taking a vital step toward empowering survivors with the practical knowledge they need to find safety. We have designed this process to be a collaborative journey between your club and our central team.
The Fresh Thoughts booklet is a multi-agency roadmap. To make it effective, it needs to reflect the specific services, courts, and support networks in your local area.
Please do not try and make an account on the website before completing the steps below. After completing the steps below, we will reach out with how to do this.
Before you begin, you need the version of Fresh Thoughts that we have compiled for other Clubs.
We can send you a copy if you give us an address or we can email it to your email address.
Click the link below to receive everything you need to get started including a highlighted copy of Fresh Thoughts, The Local Contact form (see Step 2 for details) and the Final Submission Form (see Step 3 for details)
Once you have received your copy of Fresh Thoughts, take your copy and find the highlighted sections. These are the parts that need your local expertise. You can work on this as a single club or collaborate with neighbouring clubs to cover a whole county.
The Local Contacts (Page 19): This page usually takes the most time, so we recommend starting your research here. You will remove our local contacts and substitute them for your own. (National contacts can remain).
The Council Research: Take your highlighted copy of Fresh Thoughts once more and visit your local council website to find:
Family Information Service (for Page 4)
Housing Information Service (for Page 18)
The Justice System: Find the locations of your local Magistrates’ Courts and source clear photos (Google Maps/Street View is a great tool for this!) for Page 7.
Optional: Add the name of your local Crown Court (Page 8) and Family Court (Page 13).
Final Branding: We need to know who is behind the booklet!
List the Club(s) involved for the covers and Page 2.
Define the Area the booklet covers (e.g., "Wiltshire" or "Salisbury").
Optional: Include the logo/name of any local Sponsors.
Once your research is complete, simply transfer all the information onto The Final Submission Form and email them back to us.
We know this is a significant project, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
FAQs: Check our Frequently Asked Questions for quick answers.
Email Support: We are always happy to answer specific queries via email at sifreshthoughts@gmail.com
Zoom Consultations: If you’d like to talk through the process with us "face-to-face," we are happy to arrange a Zoom call for your committee.
Good luck! We are so excited to see Fresh Thoughts growing in your community.
